Job description

Job Title: Coordinator- Materials 

Job Summary 
The Coordinator - Materials is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the flow of materials within the company and meeting the master production schedule. 

Responsibility 
  • Coordination and release of supplier schedules to meet daily production schedule 
  • Manage weekly and long-term production requirements for all lines, through the daily analysis of customer releases 
  • Manage inventory stock levels by applying advanced inventory control techniques, monitoring minimum and maximum stock levels, and performing physical inventory counts. 
  • Maintain weekly and daily shipping schedule for all customers and suppliers 
  • Utilize customer software systems to communicate their daily requirements 
  • Coordination of transportation and supplier releases to assure the timely delivery of materials and to minimize freight costs 
  • Monitor customer and vendor delivery performance metrics. Dispute any infraction to our customer rating when applicable 
  • Maintain computerized inventory control system in conjunction with manual systems 
  • Monitor and manage customer consignment stock 

Academic/Educational Requirements 
  • Post secondary education in materials management, or combination of education and experience 

Required Skills/Experience 
  • Minimum two years experiencing in manufacturing planning 
  • Good communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and customers 
  • Ability to schedule and adjust plans as needed for unexpected changes 
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory management system
