Job Summary
The Warehouse Inventory Control follows team guidelines for management and control of product inventory. Performs a variety of functions to include cycle counts, inventory adjustment, replenishments and resolves overstock and damages issues.
Essential Functions

  • Inventory Control
    * Using computer system-generated reports, cycle counts products in the fulfillment center
    * Using various computer system-generated reports, audits product locations to verify item, count and expiration dating accuracy
    * Identifies and corrects inventory errors;
    * Sets up new, and adjusts existing, storage locations
    * Investigates inventory discrepancies, and makes appropriate adjustments to inventory in the computer system
    * For customer invoice item where inventory is not available, investigates the error and edits the invoice to remove the item
    * Alerts the Supervisor to product non-conformances (new packaging, wrong count, product damage, shortages, etc.)
    * Detail regarding these essential functions is provided in inventory work instructions
    * Keeps the fulfillment center aisles clear and maintains integrity of storage locations
    * Ensures regulatory compliance for the facility as it relates to DEA, OSHA, FDA, EPA, BoP, local/state compliance agencies
  • Replenishment
    * Assesses replenished pick location for proper restock settings in the computer system
    * Matches product transferred to pick location label for accuracy
    * Cycle counts locations to verify on-hand quantities match reports
  • Overstock and Damages
    * Updates overstock location placards or labels to reflect quantity changes
    * Communicates with vendors, PLSI Liaison, and procurement to resolve vendor discrepancy issues
    * Communicates with vendor returns team to obtain return PO's to vendors
    * Updates warehouse management system with status notes on PO issues
    * Monitors status and timelines of discrepancies to ensure prompt resolution
    * Determines disposition of damaged product to company approved charity
    * Alerts the Supervisor to product non-conformances (new packaging, wrong count, product damage, shortages, etc.)
  • Returns
    * Processes returned merchandise from customers or vendors from start to finish
    * Work with Sales Rep's on customer returns to ensure processing is properly completed
    * Work with Sales Managers and Vendor Returns Department to ensure reimbursements from vendor when needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
