Job description

The Inventory Support role is a highly developed support individual. Working autonomously,ย  they are a mentor to lower level peers and provide guidance on tasks. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment and initiative. Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Resolves most issues.Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. Makes recommendations for solutions.Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. results.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for the coordination, process and control of all material storage and movement in and out of material stores

Interface with other departments as required ensuring control and coordinate for efficient material flow.

Unpack material received and assure that it properly stored, and all relevant transactions are done on the MRP system to show the location of the material.

Selection and issue of material to the production floor according to production requirements and operation packet instructions.

Operate equipment required to handle, protect and deliver government material in performance of duties. Operate forklift or transporter to receive, deliver, and pick up stock and parts or assemblies. Exercise driving and handling precautions beyond normal driving and handling.

Provide input into new processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business results.

Qualifications:

ย ย ย ย ย  Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.Good interpersonal and communication skills ย ย ย ย Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.

ย ย ย  Working knowledge of how Stores/Material departments operate and knowledge of how Shipping and Receiving operates

ย ย ย  Working knowledge of warehouse control, inventory control, and related duties

ย ย ย  Ability to analyze information gathered to identify potential problems or discrepancies.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration preferred.

Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.

Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of MRP/ERP and Advance Planning tools such as SAP

Advanced knowledge of MS office suite of products

Forklift Certification

Current DoD Secret Clearance

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $51,000-95,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
