Position Overview:
The Inventory Control Supervisor supports the daily inventory operations by helping maintain accurate stock levels, assisting in the verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring inventory processes align with company procedures. This role plays an important part in a high-volume eCommerce fulfillment setting, where accuracy and efficiency are essential. The Inventory Control Supervisor promotes adherence to organizational policies, safety guidelines, and applicable laws, including handling of hazardous materials (hazmat) when required.
Location: Henrico(onsite)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Night Shift
Travel Specifics: Approximately 10% travel
Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 plus performance-based bonus. Along with base salary, our total rewards includes comprehensive benefits; medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company matching, generous PTO, sick time, and company holidays. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a safe environment for employees and customer products, supporting compliance with all safety standards, including hazmat handling procedures.
  • Assist with resolution of inventory-related issues in a high-volume fulfillment environment.
  • Foster a positive teamwork environment by actively communicating and collaborating with associates.
  • Support and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and data reconciliation.
  • Help maintain a tour-ready facility that is well-organized and aligned with eCommerce fulfillment needs.
  • Monitor and support adherence to daily safety procedures, including those involving hazardous materials.
  • Assist with floor space utilization and basic workflow coordination to support inventory flow.
  • Help coordinate and follow up on OS&D (Overages, Shortages, and Damages) claims.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and order selectors
  • Inventory Control experience (e.g., cycle counts, reconciliation, product tracking)
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience
  • Working knowledge of RF systems and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and data entry
  • Ability to perform basic calculations (e.g., percentages, rates) and interpret basic inventory reports and bar graphs
  • Assist in overseeing daily inventory processes, including stock checks and cycle count support
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate inventory records and support inventory audits in WMS
  • Participate in identifying root causes of inventory discrepancies and assist in corrective follow-up
  • Familiarity with eCommerce or high-volume fulfillment environments and ability to follow established inventory procedures

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hazmat experience or willingness to train in hazmat handling procedures
  • Valid passport or willingness to obtain one for occasional travel
  • Ability to support training and onboarding of inventory staff on procedures and systems
  • Experience with barcode scanning or RFID technology in warehouse operations
  • Exposure to tracking performance metrics and reporting basic inventory KPIs
  • Start-up or new facility launch experience preferred but not required
