Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and perform reviews/tests of the Company's system of internal controls and performance measures as it relates to inventory and other procedures. 
  • Develop recommendations to improve efficiencies and overall internal control in the inventory area.
  • Monitor/test compliance with key controls identified in the Company's Internal Control documentation for inventory and other store procedures. 
  • Initial store level focus on physical inventory variances, in transit discrepancies, direct store delivery purchases, outside parts purchases, cycle count adjustments and other Sarbox procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • Two-year degree in accounting or finance required. 
  • 6 months or more of related experience/training in internal audit/accounting preferred.   
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos. 

  • Ability to effectively present information one on one and in small group situations.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. 

Motivated professional with strong analytical skills who performs with a high degree of accuracy and is attentive to detail. Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of finance and operational managers, both in public and over the phone.

  • Extensive travel required (90% to 95%).
