Primary Function

The Inventory Analyst I will work with a Supervisor and other team members to ensure inventory accuracy throughout the facility. The incumbent will apply various inventory control techniques and prepare reports to ensure best practices are being implemented on site.

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile Negative inventory on a daily basis for proper financial reporting.

  • Monitor the facility to ensure adherences to all inventory control procedures

  • Work with Supervisor to create and implement inventory control policies and procedures.

  • Aid in preparing monthly inventory reports.

  • Prepare and analyze multiple inventory reports and determine root cause for corrections.

  • Complete and update ABC classification for all parts.

  • Perform daily cycle counts.

  • Assist in the annual physical inventory.

  • Assist in identifying all excess, obsolete, and slow moving inventory reports.

  • Complete inventory adjustments as required.

  • Assist with the Kanban program.

  • Work on the lean initiative, including 6S and helping material presentation on the assembly floor.

  • Work with Purchasing on supplier issues and recommendations of packaging to help improve cycle counts and material handling.

  • Achieve goals and objectives, including inventory accuracy goals, as established by Supervisor.

  • Recommend improvements and productivity savings to Supervisor.

  • Communicate obstacles and barriers to Supervisor.

  • Perform other activities as needed or as directed.

Qualifications
  • Associate 's Degree in a related subject is preferred

  • Inventory control experience, preferred

  • Strong communication skills to effectively exchange important information one-on-one and in group situations

  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word

  • PeopleSoft Inventory software experience, preferred

  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to changes

  • Strong creative and critical thinking abilities

  • Ability and desire to continue to develop and improve skills and knowledge

  • Basic mathematics abilities, including multiplication and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, the ability to compute and interpret rate, ratio, and percentages, and the ability to draw and interpret graphs
