The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for accurately receiving, organizing, and managing all parts and materials across the facility, ensuring inventory is properly stocked, tracked, and prepared to support maintenance and production needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and sort incoming parts and materials; operate a forklift to unload and move items as required
  • Stock items in an orderly, accessible manner in the Parts Room and satellite storage areas; maintain proper labeling and location accuracy
  • Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies to internal users
  • Prepare and stage parts for upcoming PM Day work orders
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, quantities, part types, cycle counts and storage locations using the CMMS system and other tracking tools.
  • Prepare and submit orders to replenish stock items and supplies
  • Maintain appropriate Min/Max levels and unique identification for all spare parts, materials, supplies, and tools
  • Prepare and package items for shipping out to vendors for repair when needed.
  • Advise planners, production personnel, and internal users on the appropriateness of requested parts, supplies, or materials
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and personal work area
  • Work with the supervisor to optimize parts organization and storage systems

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Forklift License is an asset
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to update and maintain computer inventory records
  • Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to traverse the storeroom quickly and efficiently
  • Physically able to maintain storeroom inventory and cleanliness
  • Requires sitting at a computer 50% - 70% of shift. Requires walking through the plant to deliver parts on a routine basis
  • Must be able to walk, see, stand, bend, and navigate stairs and ladders as needed, lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical skills, and be able to work independently when needed
