Job description

Job Title: Inventory Coordinator Location: Rockville, MD 20850 Schedule: 40 hrs/week (Onsite) Type: 6 month contract Pay: $30.00–$35.00/hour

Overview

System One is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support day-to-day laboratory operations for a biotech company in Rockville, MD. This is an onsite contract role focused on materials receiving, inventory control, supply ordering, vendor coordination, and supporting equipment maintenance/calibration. The position is approximately 50% hands-on in labs/offices and 50% desk-based work.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, sort, and distribute incoming materials and packages
  • Maintain inventory and stockrooms; perform cycle counts and reconciliations
  • Order laboratory supplies and track materials (including matching to lot numbers)
  • Manage gas inventories
  • Coordinate maintenance, calibration, and repair services with vendors
  • Support lab equipment service agreements and related documentation

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required (Associate or Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Prior experience in stockroom, inventory, receiving, and/or materials handling
  • Excel experience (tracking inventory, updating logs, reconciliation)
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable being on your feet and moving materials as part of daily support
