As an Inventory Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating & releasing of materials between intercompany branches to meet customer demand.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Collaborate closely with shipping/receiving, purchasing, inter-branch warehouses, inside/outside sales, production and inventory control teams across all branches to minimize customer backorders & maintain target inventory levels (30%)

Release stock transfer PO's between inter-branch & satellite branches as needed to fill orders. Monitor stock transfer PO's daily to ship backorders to our inter-branch customers. Identifies truck space requirements & optimize truck layout for maximum efficiency. Build weekly truck pick-up schedule. (20%)

Coordinate materials between production & warehouse teams for inter-branch & customer demand. Prioritize material needed as demand requirements change. (15%)

Run, maintain, & modify reporting to support branch KPI's & department goals. (15%)

Respond to inter-branch, internal operations department, & outside/inside sales email requests in a timely manner. Regular reliable punctual attendance is essential because of limited staffing resources. (15%)

Level load backordered material. Run, analyze, & monitor aging backorders (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1 Year of experience in inventory control required.
  • Meets commitments, works independently, accepts ownership of projects and outcomes, takes personal responsibility and sets objectives/standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements, shows a sense of urgency about getting results.
  • Is attentive to detail and accuracy, performs quality work, continuously looks for improvements, finds root cause of problems, owns/acts on problems, seeks opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ability to make decision and take action. Able to proactively identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of MRP, SAP, Excel, pivot tables, v-lookups, queries, and MS Office.

This job may require up to 5% domestic travel.
