Job description


SAIC is looking for a ServiceNow Inventory Control Associate will support IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes within ServiceNow to track the lifecycle of hardware and software assets. The ITAM lead will also support Knowledge Management to improve operational efficiency and consistency. Provide end-to-end lifecycle management for IT assets, including Government-owned and leased hardware, software, cloud assets, and associated entitlements.
Onsite 5 days a week - Washington DC
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the centralized point of inventory control for hardware assets using ServiceNow.
  • Provide full Hardware Asset Management (HAM) services to maintain accurate visibility, accountability, and lifecycle control of all physical IT assets.
  • Ensure assets are properly tracked from acquisition through disposal, support audit readiness, and enable operational decision-making.
  • Manage and document the intake, put-away, and issuance of hardware and consumables in stockrooms and warehouses
  • Register, update, and audit asset records (e.g., laptops, servers, peripherals) across their entire lifecycle using ServiceNow.
  • Coordinate hardware deployments, device refreshes, and equipment retrieval for both on-site and remote employees.
  • Manage software licenses, subscriptions, and entitlements to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and federal requirements.
  • Support asset intake, deployment, transfer, and retirement processes
  • Maintain asset records aligned with procurement and inventory data
  • Coordinate with Asset Management task areas for reconciliation and audits
  • Support software license tracking and compliance reporting
  • Create and maintain knowledge articles for common incidents and requests
  • Ensure knowledge content is reviewed and approved prior to publication
  • Identify data discrepancies and escalate issues to the appropriate team members
  • Promote knowledge reuse to reduce incident resolution times
  • Retire outdated or inaccurate knowledge content

Qualifications
Required:
  • BS and 2+ years experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship.
  • Have been a POC for hardware asset control
  • Hands on knowledge using ServiceNow to track hardware and software assests
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
