Job description

Position Summary
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by performing scheduled cycle counts, identifying inventory discrepancies, and assisting in resolving inventory accuracy issues. This role works closely with Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and ensure inventory integrity and support efficient operations.


Key Responsibilities
•    Perform daily cycle counts according to established schedules and procedures. 
•    Verify inventory quantities, locations, lot numbers, serial numbers, and product conditions. 
•    Research and investigate inventory discrepancies to determine root causes. 
•    Record inventory adjustments accurately within the ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS). 
•    Assist with annual physical inventory counts and inventory audits. 
•    Maintain inventory accuracy by identifying process issues and recommending improvements. 
•    Ensure inventory is properly labeled, organized, and stored in designated locations. 
•    Work with warehouse personnel to resolve inventory location and transaction errors. 
•    Report damaged, obsolete, or expired inventory. 
•    Follow all company safety policies and inventory control procedures. 
•    Maintain accurate documentation of cycle count activities. 
•    Support Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 
Required Qualifications
•    High school diploma or GED required. 
•    1–3 years of warehouse, inventory control, or cycle counting experience preferred. 
•    Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or WMS systems. 
•    Ability to use RF scanners and inventory tracking equipment. 
•    Strong mathematical and analytical skills. 
•    Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. 
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 


Preferred Qualifications
•    Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification). 
•    Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or other ERP systems.
