Warehouse Associate - (SYR172) 926

Job Summary

M-F 8am-4:30pm $19.50/hr

Warehouse associates are responsible for assisting with the inventory and delivery of products and equipment from the warehouse location out to the necessary sites. There is also minor maintenance of equipment, and installation of fixtures when necessary.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ship and receive materials including US Mail; issued and returned materials to and from departments.
  • Transfer materials physically to various internal departments, appropriate storage location, or process area.
  • Document transfers in computerized systems.
  • Select product and load/unload trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse.
  • Transport and deliver equipment and boxed goods via company van to appropriate job sites.
  • Performed inventory control by accurately counting and weighing products to prevent incorrect shipment and physical inventory discrepancies.
  • Constantly provide and maintain a clean and safe work environment using proper housekeeping standards.
  • Inspect on-site warehouse equipment such as lights, hoses, equipment connections, pumps; ensure deficiencies are corrected to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Conduct light maintenance and repair of appliances, equipment, and calls for advanced maintenance repair
  • Notifies office manager and site manager of all problems and potential issues.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and established procedures
  • Maintain company standards and programs for safety and security
  • Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards with minimal supervision
  • Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect
  • Maintain good communication with your supervisor and other employees
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Communicate any needed supplies, repairs, safety concerns, and/or maintenance work needed to your supervisor
  • Maintain the quality of performance of all specific duties and responsibilities assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in equipment repair, mechanics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and repair equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a positive abstract

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to traverse work site and transport equipment used for completing job functions
  • Ability to position self to reach areas both below waist level to the floor and above their head
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management and coworkers
  • Ability to detect, observe, and inspect work areas to identify potential opportunities and concerns.
  • Ability to transport up to 50lbs through work site as needed
  • Ability to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants
  • Must meet minimum age requirements
