Job description

Material Handler - Cycle Counter 2nd Shift

Location: Whitsett, NC, US, 27377 Business Unit: Bison Posting Date: Aug 2, 2026

The Material Handler – Cycle Counter is an hourly second shift role responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through regular cycle counts and inventory audits. This position plays a key role in ensuring material accuracy to support warehouse operations, production schedules, and customer fulfillment. The associate performs hands-on counting, documentation, and discrepancy resolution while following established safety and quality standards.

What you will do:

  • Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory following standard operating procedures
  • Accurately count, verify, and document material quantities, locations, lot numbers, and part numbers
  • Enter count results into ORACLE in a timely and accurate manner
  • Identify, research, and report inventory discrepancies; assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Work with supervisors and cross-functional teams (warehouse, production, quality) to resolve inventory issues
  • Maintain organized, labeled, and accurate storage locations to support inventory accuracy
  • Participate in physical inventory counts as required
  • Follow all safety rules, quality standards, and housekeeping (5S) expectations
  • Perform general material handling tasks as assigned, including receiving, stocking, picking, and moving materials

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred
  • Experience with cycle counting or inventory control preferred
  • Basic computer and data entry skills; ORACLE knowledge is a plus
