Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery/Shop Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with warehouse experience, a basic understanding of mechanical systems, and a strong work ethic. The Delivery/Shop Associate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our shop by assisting with inventory control, warehouse tasks, and making deliveries using a company truck as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Support: Assist with daily operations in the warehouse, including organizing inventory, stocking materials, and preparing orders for delivery.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular stock checks, and notify the manager of low stock or any discrepancies.
  • Construction/Mechanical Knowledge: Utilize basic knowledge of mechanical systems to properly handle and identify materials in the warehouse, ensuring items are stored and organized in an efficient manner.
  • Delivery & Logistics: Use a company shop truck to make timely deliveries of equipment and building materials to customer job sites and other locations. Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and according to schedule.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment in the warehouse and during deliveries.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the shop manager, project managers, superintendents and other team members to ensure smooth warehouse and delivery operations.
  • General Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop and warehouse areas.

Requirements

  • Warehouse Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Systems: Basic understanding of mechanical systems and related equipment is a plus but not required. The willingness to learn is essential.
  • Driving Experience: Must possess a clean driving record and be able to safely operate the company shop truck for deliveries.
