What You'll Do

  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder critical parts and supplies as needed
  • Order parts and components for planned maintenance and emergency equipment repairs
  • Work closely with maintenance technicians to identify and source the correct parts
  • Research vendors, pricing, availability, and lead times to find the best solution
  • Maintain an accurate parts inventory and inventory-control system
  • Receive, organize, label, and properly store incoming parts
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, usage, warranties, and returns
  • Process warranty claims and parts returns within required timeframes
  • Maximize vendor discounts and stock-order programs when appropriate
  • Help identify opportunities to improve parts availability and reduce equipment downtime
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient maintenance parts area
  • Assist with other maintenance or production-related needs when necessary
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, mechanically minded, and comfortable taking ownership of the parts-ordering process.

  • 1–2+ years of experience in parts, maintenance, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, equipment service, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and inventory-management skills
  • Ability to identify, research, and source mechanical and electrical components
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory/order systems
  • Ability to analyze reports, inventory levels, and parts usage
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work with urgency when equipment is down
  • Ability to work effectively with maintenance technicians, production teams, vendors, and suppliers
  • Basic understanding of industrial equipment and maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment is a plus
  • Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree is a plus
Why Join Bayer Built?
  • Competitive base pay + performance-based bonuses
  • Health, dental, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Supportive, family-oriented culture with growth opportunities
  • Join a stable, family-owned company with deep roots and a strong reputation in the Midwest
  • Work with a passionate, experienced team in a positive, team-oriented environment
  • Be part of a company that values craftsmanship, service, and people
