Job description

Inventory Control Associate
The Inventory Control Associate is primarily responsible for supporting the inventory control function by ensuring that stock and stock levels are maintained properly through the direct flow of goods into, through, and out of the organization.
Schedule
7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
A Little About Your Day; You will:
  • Receive and inspect all incoming merchandise to ensure that deliveries match packing slips and to verify all items are free of defects or damage.
  • Count and record data manually/electronically on items and then label the merchandise with appropriate stock and inventory control codes so they can be moved and stocked in appropriate locations.
  • Run daily inventory reports on item balances for every branch to update the system and balance stock levels.
  • Perform inventory audits weekly or as needed to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain and run previous day back order reports daily through an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Review back order reports daily and resolve any discrepancies by physically checking stock levels on the shelf.
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and location of all inventory.
  • Coordinate transfer of material.
  • Assist with picking and packing orders as needed.
What You'll Need for Success:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, including experience with a high volume of inventory
  • Ability to safely lift and manage up to 50 lbs unassisted and be comfortable being on your feet for most of the workday
  • Experience working with RF Scanners
  • Ability to navigate computer applications and websites, including Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or other inventory systems
  • Prior experience operating one or more of the following: sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift, cherry picker, and/or pallet jack
