We are seeking an Inventory Control to join our team in Miami!
The Inventory Control Specialist manages inventory in our warehouses which will minimize the cost of filling customer orders and regulates inventory from a count and quality standpoint.
Pay is $19-$21 per hour commensurate with experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Sets up rotation of bulk storage area
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts (cycle counting) and creates inventory documentation.
  • Daily cycle counting
  • Set up bulk area rotating with FIFO
  • Reviewing inventory fulfillment from purchasing department
  • Reconciling/validating physical inventory to computer system, analyzing variances
  • Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
  • Provides inventory reports to management
  • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of manager.
  • Investigates, analyzes root causes
  • Watch short date overstock
  • Monitoring and enforcing security measures to prevent inventory shrinkage
  • Operates forklift truck when necessary
  • Controlling KPI's or order selectors
  • Spot checks for accuracy
  • Monitoring inbound making sure containers are received/returned in a timely fashion to avoid demurrages/per diem.

Position Requirements
Education/Experience/Skills:
  • High School Diploma with 2-3 years of Inventory experience in a distribution center or any combination of education and experience
  • MS Excel capability to enter, organize and analyze data accurately
  • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, internal departments, and outside vendors.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Physical Inventory Counting experience
  • Warehouse Management Systems/ERP experience
  • Forklift Operator Experience
  • Bilingual Spanish (Required)

Physical Requirements:
  • Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Periods of walking in a warehouse environment and looking up and down
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
