Job description

Inventory Control Specialist
Precision Fusing and Sensors is actively hiring for an Inventory Control Specialist in Middletown, CT. This role is responsible for Inventory Control including cycle counting, production kitting, inventory movement, physical inventories, and proper inventory levels to support production. Interface with Materials Planning, Shipping & Receiving, Incoming Inspection, Purchasing, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Program Management.
Responsibilities
  • Support all inventory control requirements within the material department.
  • Perform kitting for multiple Programs to support production schedule.
  • Perform transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventories as required.
  • Reconcile Work orders with functional teams to support timely closures.
  • Maintain traceability for all hardware to ensure compliance.
  • Interface with group leaders and assemblers to optimize and manage flow of work in the production floor.
  • Provide feedback to manager regarding part shortages and concerns.
  • Prior experience in material handling and inventory control
  • Assist with packing and shipping parts as required.
  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Maintain company standards of neat, clean, organized work environment adapting the Lean method of 5S.
  • Lead by example by preventing errors, ensuring work is performed in accordance with department and company policies, procedures.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and make decisions under tight schedules to support customer requirements.
  • Work Setting: 100% on-site

Qualifications
  • HS Diploma required and additional experience (e.g. certs, CEUs, etc.) preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of related inventory management experience.
  • Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as manufacturing, procurement, materials planning.
  • Requires understanding and use of MRP systems/manufacturing processes.
  • Good oral and written communications skills and working knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and database application software.
