HIRING IMMEDIATELY: INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR IN ISLANDIA, NY
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Inventory Control Supervisor to join our client in Islandia, NY. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations in the Inventory Control department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-initiator who can implement and supervise inventory-based programs. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $66,300 to $70,000/yearly, paid weekly
  • Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
  • Full-time schedule, weekend availability
  • Located in Islandia, NY
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations in the Inventory Control department
  • Ensure that safety rules, production, and sanitation standards are met
  • Pick location creation (new items) or re-profiling
  • Process all TOs (transfer orders) RTVs (return to vendor) Dispositions (dump and destroy)
  • PO discrepancy research or any analytical research
  • QA (quality assurance) and spot-checking for code dates
  • Reporting all employee errors and completing incident reports
  • Inventory Integrity and cycle counting
  • Assist the Control Center
  • Assigns duties to employees and schedule break periods, work hours, and vacations
  • Schedules and performs periodic evaluations of employees as dictated by the appropriate HR policies
  • Assist other warehouse floor supervisors and associates in warehouse policies, departmental procedures, and job duties
  • Promotes a positive work environment while also being a team builder
  • Work closely with staff to ensure that quality and productivity requirements are maintained and communicated to each associate
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-initiator who can implement and supervise inventory-based programs
  • High level of computer and WMS system literacy
  • Ability to operate a forklift is strongly preferred
  • Some college level training is preferred but not necessary so long as there is experience in warehouse supervision
  • Some experience in the wholesale industry preferred
  • Some college level management education and/or 2 years warehouse supervising in wholesale industry
  • Must be flexible and able to work any shift in support of business needs
