Driver

The Driver is a critical role within our organization, responsible for the safe and timely transportation of boats, yachts, tenders and trailers. This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of products and services.

Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate and drive company vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans, or specialized equipment.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load, unload and handling of boats, yachts, trailers, materials, ensuring secure transportation.
  • Route Planning: Plan and follow designated routes, using GPS devices or paper maps to navigate efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies, ensuring the safety of passengers and cargo.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers, clients, or passengers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, and trip logs.
  • Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining inventory records for goods or materials transported.
  • Delivery Verification: Verify the accuracy of delivered goods or materials and obtain signatures or receipts when required.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure proper disposal of waste materials and adherence to environmental regulations when applicable.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as accidents or breakdowns, by following established procedures and seeking assistance when needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CDL DRIVER LICENSE
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Proven experience as a driver (experience in a commercial or delivery driver role preferred).
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
  • Physical ability to load and unload goods or materials as required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and responsible work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established schedules.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and adapt to changing routes or delivery requirements.
