(Baton Rouge, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Inventory Control Handler to support supply chain and manufacturing operations through accurate inventory management, material staging, and warehouse support activities in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties:
• Move and stage raw materials and packaging supplies for manufacturing operations both physically and systematically using scan guns
• Utilize inventory management systems and Excel schedules to determine materials required for staging and production support
• Ensure all production lines are properly staged with required materials prior to work order start times
• Read and interpret work orders and pick lists accurately
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling and inventory movement procedures
• Operate forklifts safely while adhering to all established safety measures and procedures
• Utilize radio communication to maintain effective coordination with team members and supervisors
• Properly finish pallets and verify inventory counts for accuracy
• Support FIFO inventory practices and lot tracking systems
• Remove and empty designated waste containers and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility
• Assist team members and manufacturing personnel as needed to support operational efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support food safety, GMP compliance, and pallet management programs
Requirements/Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
• Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, schedules, and inventory documentation
• Basic math and inventory counting skills required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork mentality
• Excellent attendance and reliability required
• Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
