POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for inventory control and ensuring the accuracy of inventory through regular cycle counts as well as monitoring incoming and outgoing shipments through random audits. The Inventory Control Specialist is a fast-paced position requiring excellent communication skills, teamwork and the ability to organize and prioritize.
It is the responsibility of every H-E Parts International, employee to insure a safe work environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Safety - conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.

  1. Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies or adjust errors.

  1. Assists with development and achievement of Warehouse KPI targets.

  1. Coordinates with Accounting to document cycle counts and correct any inventory discrepancies in appropriate systems.

  1. Investigates lost or missing inventory.

  1. Works with external auditors on inventory audits.

  1. Serve as subject matter expert and work with IT to obtain necessary reporting and system functionality necessary for inventory purposes.

  1. Ensures completed work order inventory accuracy and closing work orders.

  1. Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

  1. Maintains default inventory locations in appropriate system.

  1. Monitors the recording of incoming and outgoing shipments through random audits.

  1. Assist with identifying process improvements.

  1. Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in stockroom, supply rooms, or other areas.

  1. Assist in 7S, continuous improvement and Lean activities proactively and as assigned.

  1. Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas.

  1. Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

  1. Keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

  1. Knowledgeable in the proper use of bridge / jib crane operation, lifting rigging and proper securing of all objects. Certified in forklift operation.

  1. Perform additional duties assigned by management and strive for continual improvement in all areas of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  1. 3 years' warehouse inventory experience.

  1. Ability to follow company instructions and procedures.

  1. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  1. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with fellow employees and management.

  1. Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, read and comprehend.

  1. Ability to write job documentation and reporting requirement needs.

  1. Ability to operate company software used in company operations.
