Inventory Leads are responsible for providing support, analysis, and recommendations to assist all store management and ensure operational efficiency at store and delivery level.
Supports the Inventory & Compliance Manager on a wide range of compliance regulation, technology launches, policy and procedures and inventory related operational administrative duties, to effectively process high performance, and serve as a business partner to the store. The Inventory Lead's customers include all Store Employees, Corporate Business Partners and Store Customers.
The Inventory Lead takes responsibility for all Back of House and Inventory activities in conjunction with store leadership and assists the Specialist Team by working with Store Management to perform daily operational functions.
In adherence to all compliance regulations governing the purchasing and selling of cannabis and non-cannabis product, the Inventory Lead will partner with the Inventory & Compliance Manager in each location to oversee all facets of policy and procedures and operational administrative duties in relation to inventory and product.
Core Responsibilities:
Sales & Profitability
โ€ข Help drive store's profitability by guiding team members in delivering a positive and friendly experience by engaging the customer through thoughtful conversation and exceptional service.
โ€ข Prioritizes and communicates department issues to the Inventory & Compliance Manager.
โ€ข Ensure vendor/distributor deliveries and vendor/distributor payment pickups are optimized for maximum effectiveness.
โ€ข Partner with store leadership to educate and communicate hourly and daily goals to drive sales.
โ€ข Supports and assists floor coverage including breaks and lunches in accordance with business needs, traffic trends and Meal Break Policy.
โ€ข Prioritizes and communicates department insights to the Inventory & Compliance Manager.
Operations
โ€ข Supports and leads the team to perform all store level operational procedures accurately and in a timely fashion, in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
โ€ข Support store goals by training in loss prevention awareness and overseeing adherence to loss prevention practices.
โ€ข Assists in leading the team in shipping and receiving process and complete shipment turnaround process.
โ€ข Assists in ensuring all operational tasks are completed.
โ€ข Maintains backstock areas (clean and organized).
โ€ข Ensure compliance with all BCC, State and City regulations.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with company emergency and safety procedures to protect employees and customers from accidents and incidents.
โ€ข Consistently evaluate current processes to ensure they are streamlined and efficient.
โ€ข Support of all operational tasks regarding menus; images, naming conventions, etc.
โ€ข Support of Inventory Report generation and distribution by 3pm PST every Monday.
People Development
โ€ข Assume the role of peer mentor in store with regards to talent development and employee mentor.
โ€ข Model the way by leading and inspiring, the team.
โ€ข Support and strategically train and develop a productive store team and provide the market with strong candidates.
โ€ข Drive the development of team members with an aptitude or interest in store leadership to ensure bench strength and succession planning.
Communication
โ€ข Lead with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Store Environment
โ€ข Support the Store and Delivery Team to maximize sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise from receipt to sale.
โ€ข Coach the Store and Delivery Team to take initiative as employees to oversee all levels of Consumer service by setting daily goals and expectation to create a positive store environment.
โ€ข Exhibit excellent floor presence by training the store team on customer standards, product placement and time management.
โ€ข Support the store to maximize sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise from receipt to sale.
โ€ข Support the team by contributing to the maintenance of all product stock areas.
โ€ข Guides team to uphold company customer service standards.
Merchandising and Display
โ€ข Collaborate with General Manager and Store Leadership to enhance the store environment and efficiently execute all inventory and merchandising projects.
โ€ข Collaborate with General Manager and Store Leadership to ensure fast and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
โ€ข Ensure a neat, clean, and organized store environment.
โ€ข Exhibit a familiarity with current product and trend awareness.
โ€ข Support the store team by assisting in merchandising and display products as needed.

Requirements Include:
โ€ข Must be 21+ years old.
โ€ข Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2- years' experience as a Leader in a retail environment.
โ€ข Must pass a federal background check via 'Live Scan' in certain markets.
โ€ข B.A. preferred, but experience is paramount.
โ€ข Experience working in a highly regulated businesses is desirable.
โ€ข Uses sound judgment when making decisions.
โ€ข Assumes other duties assigned by supervisor.
โ€ข Exhibits strong leadership skills amongst peers and have confidence communicating at the store level.
โ€ข Uphold excellent consumer service skills and a service orientated culture.
โ€ข Achieve statistical results (sales, inventory accuracy, shrinkage).
โ€ข Previous retail experience preferred.
โ€ข Previous cannabis experience preferred.
โ€ข Regular attendance and punctuality are essential
Work Environment:
โ€ข This job operates in a professional cannabis store environment.
โ€ข This role routinely uses standard office and store equipment such as computers, phones, printers, POS.
โ€ข This position regular requires working evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
