AS A STORE ASSOCIATE A TYPICAL DAY INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Being part of a team that delivers exceptional guest experience and drives sales through customer service
  2. Building guest loyalty through promoting and educating the guest on credit and loyalty programs
  3. Accurately handling register operations and transactions
  4. Receiving, unloading, and processing merchandise from truck
  5. Executing store merchandising direction and standards, product flow, inventory flexing, and store operations functions to ensure consistency of brand experience
  6. Perform general maintenance to ensure cleanliness standards in both interior and exterior store areas
  7. Understanding and usage of company standard software, systems, and procedures
  8. Engaging in teamwork to accomplish goals
  9. Upholds all safety standards
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A BEALLS OR HOME CENTRIC STORE ASSOCIATE:

  1. Customer Service Experience Preferred
  2. Must have strong verbal communication skills
  3. Work both independently and with a team to accomplish tasks, solve problems, and achieve goals
  4. Helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
  5. Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
  6. Utilization of Zebra PDA and POS Systems
  7. Ability to work varying hours including early mornings, days, mid shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations
  2. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 pounds
  3. Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e. – bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching)
  4. Must possess reliable transportation
  5. If performing maintenance or receiving duties:
  6. Must be able to able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50lbs
  7. Must be able to climb a 12ft ladder for maintenance and displaying merchandise
  8. Must be able to reach a minimum of 60 inches for stocking and maintaining merchandise
