Job Summary The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels within the lumber yard by physically counting stock, managing incoming deliveries, pulling orders for customers, and ensuring proper storage and organization of lumber and building materials, often utilizing inventory management software to track stock levels and identify discrepancies; this role involves a strong understanding of different lumber types and sizes, as well as other building materials.Location: Edgerton, WIPosition Type: Full timeDuties/Responsibilities: Perform regular cycle counts to verify stock accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.Inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders, verifying quality and quantity, and properly storing lumber based on type and size.Occasionally pull customer orders from inventory, accurately selecting the required lumber and building materials, and staging them for pickup or delivery.Ensure returns are restocked or returned to suppliers and credit is received from suppliers.
