Job description

 
This is a back-of-house position and a great position for introverts who are detail oriented and like puzzles! The Inventory Assistant is a non-exempt seasonal position responsible for assisting in management of inventory operation and ensuring customer satisfaction in conformance with established Farm policies, strategies, and procedures. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of customer service and responsiveness to the needs of individuals, families, businesses, and organizations served by the Farm.
1)      Responsibilities include producing fill carts for the Market of received product using the Stocker fill lists or as requested by the Inventory Liaison. 
2)      Rotating product in the basement using the implemented date rotation system and preparing product for scheduled stock counts.     
3)      Secures and maintains basement integrity. Maintains overall cleanliness and organization of basement and credit area.
4)      Implements, expedites and prioritizes incoming product, under the direction of the Receiving Manager and may be asked to assist with monthly Basement Inventory checks.

The above is a description of the ordinary duties of the position. It should be expected that from time to time, other duties both related and unrelated to the above may be assigned, and therefore, required.
 
Position Requirements:
Must be at least 18 and have earned a HS Diploma or equivalent.  Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.  Strong math skills preferred.
