Overview

Empire and Co. is currently seeking a Asset Inventory Lead to join our team in our Secaucus warehouse. This role is responsible for overseeing receiving operations, managing inventory accuracy, and leading asset tracking processes across the warehouse.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring all incoming materials are properly received, tracked, and accounted for. The ideal candidate will have strong warehouse experience, a background in asset management, and familiarity with systems such as SnapTracker.


Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inventory Oversight

  • Oversee daily receiving operations, ensuring all shipments are accurately received and processed
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Identify, document, and resolve discrepancies, damages, or missing items
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper product labeling and storage

Asset Management & Tracking

  • Manage and track company assets across warehouse and project locations
  • Maintain and update asset tracking systems, including SnapTracker or similar tools
  • Ensure accurate tagging, tracking, and movement of inventory and assets
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to maintain inventory integrity
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset tracking processes and efficiency

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Support and guide warehouse staff on receiving and inventory procedures
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, and Logistics teams on inventory needs
  • Provide updates on inventory status, shortages, and order discrepancies
  • Assist in training team members on systems, processes, and best practices
  • Liaise with the Asset Coordinator on daily warehouse activities while reporting to the Asset Manager

Warehouse Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Support loading/unloading and staging of materials as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
  • Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of warehouse experience required, with experience in receiving and inventory control
  • Pay rate: $25ย - 26 an hour.ย 
  • Strong asset management experience required
  • Experience with SnapTracker or similar asset tracking systems strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory and manage large volumes of materials
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership experience or ability to guide and support a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed in a warehouse setting
