Job Responsibilities

Supports the Kenosha and Sturtevant clinics

Ensures clinics have all products, materials, equipment and supplies they need to operate efficiently in ways aligned to established policies and standards. To provide consistent support to clinic designees as it relates to purchasing, receiving, maintaining supplies, products and equipment.

  • Actively participates in the provider on-boarding process to include Dentists and Hygienists:
  • Meets with providers to determine needs and establish relationships;
  • Evaluates cost, quality and manufacturer agreements (if needed);
  • Collaborates with Purchasing Manager on items that are above Inventory Coordinator’s approval threshold.
  • Implements and ensures active use of First-In-First Out (FIFO) systems across responsible clinics
  • Implements, promotes and actively utilizes Just-in-Time (JIT) systems
  • Utilizes technological communication platform to communicate with surrounding Regional Inventory Coordinators and/or designees to provide necessary and optimal inventory at clinics
  • Identifies cost saving areas across product line and/or vendor options
  • Trains clinic designee on:
  • Proper storage
  • Receiving, unloading and distributing stock
  • Maintain a well-organized and meaningful storage room and warehouse
  • Submission and process of orders as indicated by Inventory Coordinator
  • Acts as a clinic designee when needed
  • Liaison for clinics/departments with questions about supply product changes.
  • Responsible for communication to clinics/departments in the event a product is discontinued or recalled
  • Warrant optimal implant inventory
  • Works closely with Clinic Designee to ensure proper supplies arrived and invoices are reconciled.
  • Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders
  • Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
  • Maintenance of Item Master in DSA- pricing and part numbers
  • Completes end-of-year inventory with clinic designee
  • Promote newest innovations and focus on continuous improvement with supply chain organization
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships
  • Ensure vendor is meeting obligations and maintaining service level agreements
  • Product sampling and evaluations in collaboration with Purchasing Manager
  • Prepare necessary metrics for clinic level Quality Assurance Committee
  • Liaison to IT department to purchase IT related equipment

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 plus years of inventory experience, dental experience or Associates Degree in related field preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Superior organizational skills for efficient office control are mandatory
  • Strong communication skills: ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
