Job description

SUMMARY

This position will require the individual to assist in receiving deliveries from various suppliers, fill requisitions from resort outlets, make deliveries of products to outlets on/off property, and assist in other department needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fill requisitions daily in the Food and Beverage Storerooms.
  • Deliver product to Grille, Afternine, Putters and Finn’s when needed.
  • Assist with putting up stock from various suppliers as deliveries come in daily.
  • Rotate stock daily.
  • Sweep and mop storeroom on a weekly basis.
  • Wipe down shelving monthly in coolers and dry storage areas.
  • Break down boxes and put in recycle containers weekly.
  • Take glass recycling bins out for pickup weekly.
  • Check quality and dates on products daily to assure proper rotation and eliminate spoilage.
  • Assist in monthly inventory counts as needed.
  • Assist other department employees when needed, ie; Shipping/Receiving Clerk.
  • Must understand and abide by environmental and safety practices of the resort.
  • Assist in any other department demands as directed by the Commissary/Purchasing Manager as needed.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 18 years of age, as required by law
  • Experience in warehouse operations or similar commissary experience preferred but not required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with many different personalities.  You will be involved in the daily interaction with our vendors and guests both internal and external so maintaining a professional, respectful demeanor will be expected. 

Computer experience a plus or ability to learn basic skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (If applicable)

Will be responsible for directing and supervising commissary staff on a daily basis.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs. and move them storage area to carts.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

The ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, be flexible to last minute demands and keep a positive attitude will be key.
