Job Overview:

Pay Range: $40.00hr - $42.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Experience in project management responsibility including planning, time management, coordination, and reporting.
  • Experience in creating and interpreting product drawings, models, process drawings, and equipment drawings.
  • Intermediate to advanced capability in CAD software including Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor, Navisworks, Vault, Revit, and ReCap.
  • Intermediate capability in Microsoft Office Software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in Autodesk applications, specifically AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor Professional, Vault / Vault Data Structure, Revit, ReCap, and Navisworks.
  • Recent experience in 2D and 3D tools.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15% for hands-on work and meetings.
  • Ability to travel internationally if required.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Digital Engineering (DE) for Powertrain Unit projects with a focus on production preparation for Internal Combustion Engines, Hybrid Transmissions, and Axles.
  • Create and revise product operation drawings in AutoCAD working directly with the Production Engineering team.
  • Create and maintain production line layouts in AutoCAD, including generation of detailed equipment and utility installation drawings.
  • Perform product 3D model comparisons and overlays in Autodesk Inventor, Catia, or other 3D software.
  • Conduct 3D rendering and evaluation of building and equipment models for project studies using Navisworks and Revit.
  • Perform production line simulations to confirm line capacity and identify areas for process improvements.
  • Collect and evaluate point cloud scan data to support project studies.
  • Investigate new tools to improve Production Engineering job accuracy and efficiency.
  • Optimize and advance activity from concept/feasibility planning study through manufacturing site activity for process and equipment validation.

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, specifically powertrain assembly and machining.
