At Office1, we leverage our "winning triangle" to create an unparalleled company culture. We align our commitment to our customers with our employee goals. We understand that our employees enable our customers' success and that is why we focus on creating opportunities rooted in our employees' purpose and passions.

Join Office1 and Shape the Future of IT Solutions

At Office1, we align our employees' goals with our commitment to customer success, creating a culture that fosters purpose and passion. Since 1995, we've been delivering innovative technology solutions to SMBs and have become one of the fastest-growing managed service providers in the Western U.S.

We are seeking an Internal Systems & Modern Workplace Lead to own and improve Office1's internal technology environment. This is a hands-on, player-coach role for someone who can lead internal projects, strengthen our Microsoft 365 and Intune environment, support internal users, and help shape how Office1 adopts AI and automation.

This is not a narrow Network Engineer role or a purely administrative management position. You will be expected to work in the office, stay technically involved, make sound decisions independently, and deliver measurable outcomes.

You will lead one direct report and work alongside two internal IT team members to manage support tickets, escalations, internal technology standards, and company initiatives. You will also partner with customer-facing teams to ensure Office1's internal tools and infrastructure reflect the standards we deliver to our clients.

What You'll Be DoingInternal IT Leadership and Support
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of Office1's internal IT environment, including priorities, escalations, standards, and follow-through.

  • Work alongside two internal IT team members to manage the internal support queue and ensure issues are assigned, resolved, documented, and communicated effectively.

  • Directly manage one team member, including task assignment, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.

  • Provide escalation-level technical support for internal users, including leadership and executive-level stakeholders when needed.

  • Establish clear ownership, service expectations, documentation standards, and accountability for internal IT work.

Project Management and Execution
  • Plan, scope, prioritize, and deliver approximately 3–5 meaningful internal IT projects each year.

  • Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, stakeholder communication, and completion criteria from kickoff through closeout.

  • Translate business needs into practical technical plans with clear owners, milestones, and expected outcomes.

  • Track project progress and provide concise updates to leadership.

  • Coordinate with customer-facing pods when internal projects intersect with client delivery, shared systems, or company-wide initiatives.

Microsoft 365, Entra, and Cloud Administration
  • Own administration and continuous improvement of the Office1 Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, identity, licensing, security, and collaboration tools.

  • Manage Entra ID identity, user lifecycle, Conditional Access policies, sign-in activity, roles, permissions, and access controls.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mail flow, mailbox, authentication, licensing, and collaboration issues.

  • Maintain sound standards for Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, identity management, and Microsoft 365 security.

  • Improve documentation, operational visibility, and repeatable processes across the Microsoft cloud environment.

Intune and Endpoint Management
  • Design, build, and mature Office1's Intune environment for Windows, iOS, and macOS endpoint management.

  • Develop and maintain enrollment workflows, device compliance standards, configuration profiles, application deployment processes, and security baselines.

  • Improve device lifecycle management, endpoint visibility, local administrator controls, encryption, patching, and endpoint configuration consistency.

  • Partner with security and infrastructure stakeholders to maintain practical, supportable endpoint standards.

AI, Automation, and Continuous Improvement
  • Identify practical opportunities to use AI, automation, scripting, and modern workplace tools to improve internal support, documentation, project delivery, and business workflows.

  • Help Office1 responsibly evaluate and adopt new AI capabilities as they become relevant to our business.

  • Build a culture of experimentation, learning, documentation, and continuous improvement within the internal IT team.

  • You do not need to be an AI specialist, but you must be genuinely interested in learning, applying, and improving with AI-enabled tools.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, internal IT, or managed services.

  • Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and cloud identity.

  • Practical experience with Intune, Conditional Access, endpoint compliance, device configuration, and application deployment.

  • A demonstrated record of independently driving technical projects from planning through completion.

  • Experience leading, mentoring, coordinating, or managing at least one technical team member.

  • Strong judgment and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance projects, support needs, security requirements, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions to nontechnical stakeholders.

  • A self-directed work style with a bias toward ownership, follow-through, and measurable outcomes.

  • Genuine interest in AI, automation, scripting, and emerging technology.

Experience That Will Help You Succeed
  • PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, or other workflow and automation tools.

  • Experience with Sophos, ConnectWise, Veeam, UniFi, or similar MSP and infrastructure platforms.

  • Experience supporting a multi-site organization or working in a managed services environment.

  • Experience with endpoint security, EDR/AV, backup and recovery, network infrastructure, firewalls, and infrastructure documentation.

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MD-102, AZ-104, SC-300, or Security+.

  • Experience implementing or improving AI-enabled business workflows, internal knowledge systems, or automation processes.

What Success Looks Like
  • Internal IT support is well organized, responsive, and clearly owned.

  • Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune are documented, secure, consistent, and steadily improving.

  • Internal projects are completed with clear scope, visible progress, and measurable results.

  • Your direct report and internal teammates have clarity, coaching, and accountability.

  • Office1 gains practical value from AI and automation without adding unnecessary risk or complexity.

Diversity

Office1 believes we work more productively, and our jobs are more enjoyable, when our team includes members with a diversity of backgrounds and life experiences. We take all reasonable steps to seek out candidates with diverse experience and ensure our work environment is welcoming and respectful for everyone on our team.

What We Offer
  • Paid time off, holidays, and vacation

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with generous contributions

  • Supplemental benefits, including STD/LTD, life insurance, and EAP

  • 401K matching

  • Onsite parking, gym, showers, and activity rooms
