About the Position

The Intune Mobile Support Specialist provides frontline support for mobile devices across iOS, Android, and Windows platforms within Maricopa County's Enterprise Technology & Innovation department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, mobile technology, and helping end-users resolve issues quickly and effectively.


In this position, you will play a key part in ensuring secure, compliant, and well-functioning mobile devices across the County workforce. You will collaborate with end-users, peer support staff, and senior Intune administrators to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high device reliability.

We Require

  • Three years of work experience in computer/network maintenance, desktop support, applications support, or related similar support

  • High school diploma or GED

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

We Also Value

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, app deployment, configuration profiles, conditional access, and compliance policy enforcement

  • Experience supporting endusers in a mobile environment, including device setup, troubleshooting, and user training

  • Experience using ticketing systems and remote support tools

Job Contributions

  • Provide advanced technical support and daily administration for Intune-managed mobile devices. Handle device setup issues, policy application failures, compliance remediation, remote lock/wipe actions, and lifecycle refresh coordination. Ensure devices remain functional, secure, and aligned with organizational standards.

  • Support and maintain enrollment workflows using Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment. Assist with provisioning/deprovisioning, onboarding/offboarding, and resolving configuration profile issues. Ensure devices enroll correctly and consistently.

  • Deploy and update mobile applications through Intune, troubleshoot installation failures, verify assignment groups, and ensure apps meet compliance and protection requirements. Provide advanced support for MDM/MAM-related app issues.

  • Support conditional access, compliance policies, security baselines, and device configuration profiles. Troubleshoot enforcement issues and assist with remediation steps for non-compliant devices. Ensure devices meet security requirements.

  • Perform advanced remote troubleshooting for device settings, email profiles, certificates, and configuration policies. Ensure devices remain properly configured and aligned with corporate mobility standards.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles. Document recurring issues, resolutions, and updates to mobile processes or configurations.

  • Provide training to end users, Telecom Coordinators, and IT technicians on mobile best practices, common issues, and device workflows. Collaborate with Tier 3, security, and infrastructure teams to support mobility initiatives and ensure consistent standards.

  • Manage mobile carrier tasks, including line activations, SIM replacements, voicemail resets, call-forwarding setup, and device swaps. Coordinate with carrier support teams to resolve service issues and maintain accurate line/device records.

  • Work with phone coordinators and deployment teams to execute device provisioning, manage refresh schedules, validate device readiness, and ensure proper handoff to end users.

  • Perform additional mobility-related technical tasks as assigned, supporting the broader endpoint management and device operations environment.

Working Conditions

  • Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time

  • Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
