Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician, Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Job Description: This position reports to the Property Manager and interfaces with the Regional Property Manager and all office staff. This position may include maintenance on multiple property sites.

The Maintenance Technician should have the ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely fashion, with little direction. The technician should have experience working in multi-family housing, with all of the components and systems related to apartment maintenance. We are seeking an individual that takes initiative and responsibility for the work/properties assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Complete daily maintenance tasks as tickets are submitted
  • Complete items in the Preventative Maintenance Plan
  • Complete items on Turn Checklist for vacant apartments
  • Prepare for on-site Physical Inspections
  • Conduct Property and Common Area Inspections as directed by Supervisor
  • Complete Work Order Requests
  • Conduct Move In Inspections on Vacant Apartments
  • Ensure Delivery of all Resident Communications as requested by Property Manager
  • Manage Maintenance within Approved Property Budget
  • Special Projects as requested

Job Qualifications:

  • General Knowledge of affordable housing programs
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Products
  • General Knowledge of Compliance Requirements for affordable housing
  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
