The Undersea Technology Portfolio, within SPA's Sea, Land, & Air Division, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies to deliver emerging technologies and warfighting capabilities. We support clients across the undersea, naval special warfare, and expeditionary warfare enterprises, including those within resourcing and requirements, acquisition, and science and technology.
SPA is seeking an IT Support Specialist to support NAVSEA's Naval Special Warfare Program Office. #FC #Dice
Responsibilities
The IT Security Specialist will support NAVSEA's PMS 340 office by overseeing cybersecurity compliance, managing system authorization activities, and ensuring adherence to DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies. This role includes maintaining RMF documentation, coordinating security assessments, advising program leadership on cyber risks, and ensuring systems remain secure throughout their lifecycle while supporting operational mission needs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or a related field

  • 7-10 years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience aligned with senior ISSM responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST controls, and Navy cybersecurity requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting NAVSEA programs or Navy afloat/expeditionary systems

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+)

  • Strong ability to develop, review, and maintain cybersecurity documentation and brief senior stakeholders
