Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting Senergy Petroleum's workforce growth by identifying, attracting, evaluating, and hiring qualified candidates across the organization. This position manages the full recruitment lifecycle for a variety of operational, professional, technical, sales, and safety-sensitive positions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Full-Cycle Recruitment and Hiring
  • Manage the recruitment process from position approval through accepted offer and pre-employment onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify position requirements, preferred qualifications, hiring priorities, and expected timelines.
  • Develop and post accurate, engaging, and inclusive job advertisements.
  • Review applications, screen candidates, and conduct telephone, virtual, and in-person interviews.
  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate candidate selection discussions with hiring managers and interview teams.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers in coordination with Human Resources leadership and applicable compensation guidelines.
  • Maintain consistent and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, motor vehicle record reviews, drug and alcohol testing, physical examinations, and employment verification, as applicable.
Candidate Sourcing, Pipeline Development, and Employer Branding
  • Develop sourcing strategies for high-volume, difficult-to-fill, technical, professional, and safety-sensitive positions.
  • Source candidates through job boards, professional networking platforms, social media, employee referrals, schools, community organizations, workforce agencies, and industry contacts.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for frequently recruited positions, including drivers, warehouse associates, technicians, sales professionals, customer service employees, and administrative personnel.
  • Participate in career fairs, hiring events, open houses, school partnerships, and community outreach activities.
  • Develop relationships with colleges, trade schools, military and veteran organizations, workforce agencies, and professional associations.
  • Promote Senergy Petroleum's culture, values, career opportunities, and employee experience through recruitment communications and employer-branding initiatives.
  • Support the development of recruiting materials, social media content, career-site information, and candidate outreach campaigns.
Hiring Manager Partnership and Candidate Experience
  • Serve as a trusted recruitment partner and resource to hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct intake meetings to clarify job responsibilities, qualifications, recruiting challenges, and candidate expectations.
  • Provide timely updates regarding candidate pipelines, interview activity, hiring timelines, and potential recruiting obstacles.
  • Assist managers with developing job-related interview questions and consistent candidate evaluation criteria.
  • Provide guidance regarding sourcing strategies, labor-market conditions, candidate availability, and selection practices.
  • Promote objective, consistent, and legally compliant hiring decisions.
  • Deliver a professional, respectful, and responsive candidate experience.
  • Clearly communicate position expectations, company information, hiring timelines, and next steps.
  • Collect feedback from candidates and hiring managers to identify opportunities for improving the recruitment process.
Recruitment Compliance, Administration, and Analytics
  • Maintain complete and accurate applicant records within the applicant tracking system and other Human Resources systems.
  • Ensure recruitment and selection activities comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Support Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration hiring requirements for regulated positions, as applicable.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources, Safety, Payroll, Information Technology, and department leadership to support a smooth onboarding process.
  • Protect the confidentiality of applicant and employee information.
  • Assist with recruitment audits, equal employment opportunity reporting, and documentation requirements.
  • Track open positions, candidate flow, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance rates, and other recruitment metrics.
  • Prepare recruiting reports and status updates for Human Resources and operational leadership.
  • Evaluate recruiting resources, vendors, job boards, and hiring events for effectiveness.
  • Recommend improvements to recruitment procedures, systems, templates, and candidate communications.
Additional
    • Responsible for onboarding of new hires and ensuring I9/E-Verify compliance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws related to recruiting, interviewing, equal employment opportunity, and applicant recordkeeping.
  • Ability to analyze recruiting data and use information to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Senergy Petroleum locations, career fairs, and recruiting events.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills that include strong presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Familiarity with Indeed, LinkedIn, other job boards, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
