JOB DESCRIPTION:

An Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist is a specialized healthcare professional trained to assist physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures performed in the radiology department. These technologists play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate execution of various interventional procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, and catheterizations, among others. The IR Technologist is a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional who plays a pivotal role in interventional radiology procedures, combining technical expertise with compassionate patient care to facilitate successful outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.

CALL : One weekend (Friday evening-Monday morning) and 4 weekdays (Monday-Thursday) every 12 weeks. Set call schedule.

EDUCATION:

ยท Graduate from an accredited program of Radiologic Technology.

ยท ARRT is required .

ยท Must be licensed in the State of Vermont.

ยท Individual must accumulate 200 exams as outlined by the ARRT and become licensed in the modality by passing the Vascular-Interventional (VI) Radiography certification exam within 24 months of completing orientation.

ยท This position requires verification of your college transcript. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited for an interview.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of clinical experience is highly recommended.
