PRN Position | VHC Health - Arlington, Virginia
VHC Health is seeking a collaborative and clinically strong Interventional Radiologist to join a comprehensive, growing interventional radiology program providing both inpatient and outpatient services within one of the region's most respected independent health systems.
Opportunity Highlights
The incoming physician will join a high-performing Interventional Radiology team providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient procedural services across a broad range of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. This is a full-time, hospital-based position located on the main VHC Health campus in Arlington, Virginia. The IR program is supported by experienced technologists, dedicated nursing staff, advanced imaging capabilities, and a collaborative procedural environment that continues to expand in both complexity and volume.
VHC Health's Interventional Radiology service works closely with oncology, vascular surgery, hepatology, nephrology, trauma, emergency medicine, and surgical specialties to provide high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the continuum of treatment.
Interventional Radiology Services Provided Include:

Candidate Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
Board Certified/Eligible in Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology (IR/DR)
Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Interest in multidisciplinary care and program development preferred
Neuro interventional radiology skills preferred (at least one member of the IR team must be trained in neuro intervention to support stroke patient care)
Job DescriptionPurpose & Scope:
The physician is a member of the healthcare team who works in collaboration with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The scope of practice of each physician is defined through the health system's credentialing and privileging committee.The Physician supports objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level.Supports all medical activities at the individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.The role of a physician is to provide quality clinical care to those individuals who have chosen VHC Health in a timely manner to meet the needs of our patients.
Education:
Doctorate degree from an accredited medical school is required.
Experience:
One year of medical/surgical experience is required.
Certification/Licensure:
Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required.
