Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring current IR experience with a single-plane Siemens suite and prior travel experience.

Details
  • Interventional Radiology unit within a Cardiac Interventional Radiology department
  • 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Operates a single-plane Siemens IR suite with planned expansion to biplane and additional single-plane rooms in 2027
  • Utilizes Epic charting system
  • Performs a broad range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and vascular studies
  • Supports genitourinary and venous access procedures such as nephrostomy, ureteral stent placement, PICC line care, and catheter/drain exchange
  • Works across settings including Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, Hybrid OR, and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience preferred
  • Prior travel experience required
  • ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
  • Required IR experience with a single-plane Siemens suite
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
  • Proficiency in sterile technique, equipment setup, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • License required if applicable
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
  • Maintains equipment, stocks supplies, and manages inventory
  • Utilizes fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and PACS systems
  • Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Onsite orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 2-3 hours for allied staff
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
  • All RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
  • Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
