Locums - Tucson, Arizona Interventional Cardiology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)Clinical Role

Join a dynamic cardiology program offering a mix of inpatient and outpatient care with procedural opportunities and manageable call expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for an interventional cardiologist seeking ongoing locums work in a well-supported, team-based environment.

Start Date: ASAPDuration: Ongoing need

Position Highlights:

  • Balanced inpatient and outpatient practice

  • Manageable patient volume and call responsibilities

  • Opportunity to work with both assigned and unassigned patients

  • Supportive hospital setting with strong clinical resources

  • IMLC candidates accepted

Schedule & Coverage

  • Clinic and call schedule

  • Call includes both weekday and weekend coverage

  • 45-minute call response time

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

  • Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

  • Facility size: 44 beds

  • Patient volume: 10 patients per shift

Call & Patient Load:

  • Average call patients seen: 3

  • Admissions: 1 per call shift

  • Call-back rate: 10%

Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing interventional cardiology procedures

  • Managing inpatient and outpatient cardiology cases

  • Admissions and consults

  • Providing care for assigned and unassigned patients

Support & Technology

  • Collaborative clinical team environment

  • Hospital stroke-certified facility

Technology:

  • EMR: Cerner (hospital), Athena (clinic)

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology - required

  • Fellowship trained - required

  • Active Arizona license or IMLC - required

  • ABLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications - required
