Job description

Perform software modeling and techno-economic feasibility analysis of thermal and power-based energy generation, storage and distribution systems including microgrids and district energy, incorporating power system engineering analyses. Collaborate with and provide technical support to Program Directors, Scientists and Associates with research, outreach, and project management to ensure completion of associated deliverables. Investigate via scientific method developing technical products and problem solving related to the employer's core mission. Prepare peer-reviewed journal articles, presentations, and technical reports for publication. Support integration of IoT/smart-building field devices with energy management/monitoring platforms. Monitor cybersecurity and implement computer solutions to internal and external clients. Reports to Senior IT Manager. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week from within Montgomery County. Up to 5% domestic interstate travel to attend industry events and meet with current and prospective clients.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or STEM-related field and 12 months' experience in coding and risk analysis algorithms.
