Job description

Interstate Brick is widely recognized as one of the premier commercial brick manufacturers in the U.S. Established in 1891, Interstate Brick joined the Pacific Coast Building Products family in 1990. The company's products, used in residential and commercial construction, offer several distinguishing features that motivate architects and builders across the country to specify them.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of Assistant Plant Manager, this position is responsible for operating the CNC machine(s); and it is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts by programming, setting up, and running the machine.
Regularly perform maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are stored properly.
Work between production and drafting to evaluate what pieces can be put into CNC production.
Prepares stock materials for machining.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machinery and software.
Keeps records as requested by supervisor.
Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvement.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
Performs other duties assigned inside and out of the assigned department.
Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School Diploma or equivalent; further technical training in CNC operation and CAD drafting preferred.
Familiar with Rhino 3D and CAD software preferred.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail.
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to make reasonable decisions.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit.
