Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a diverse array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety by clearly explaining procedures with empathy and reassurance
• Work collaboratively with radiologists and referring clinicians to deliver accurate diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, promptly addressing any mechanical issues
• Document all procedures thoroughly and maintain up-to-date patient records within the electronic medical system
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging practices and technologies

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
