**Wild Pacific Whale Watch**

**San Diego, CA | H&M Landing**

**Part-Time | Weekends, Holidays & Seasonal Weekdays**

Wild Pacific Whale Watch is looking for an enthusiastic Marine Naturalist to educate and inspire guests aboard one of Southern California's premier whale watching experiences.


Every trip is different—from blue whales and humpback whales to dolphin superpods—and you'll help bring these incredible encounters to life while delivering an exceptional guest experience.


### Responsibilities


* Narrate whale watching tours for groups ranging from 20–140+ guests

* Identify whales, dolphins, seabirds, and other marine wildlife

* Share engaging facts about marine biology, ecology, conservation, and local history

* Answer guest questions throughout the trip

* Work closely with captains and crew to provide a first-class guest experience

* Assist with spotting wildlife and documenting sightings

* Help maintain a fun, safe, and educational atmosphere onboard


### Qualifications


* Excellent public speaking and storytelling skills

* Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with large groups

* Passion for marine wildlife and ocean conservation

* Ability to think on your feet and adapt to each trip

* Reliable, punctual, and professional


### Preferred Experience


* Marine biology, environmental science, zoology, ecology, education, or related background

* Whale watching, ecotourism, education, or interpretive guiding experience

* Experience working aboard passenger vessels is a plus


### **Highly Desired Bonus Skills**


* **Ability and willingness to serve as a deckhand when needed.**

* Assist with docking lines, boarding guests, safety procedures, vessel cleaning, and general deck operations.

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced marine environment and as part of a close-knit crew.

* USCG credentials, CPR/First Aid, or boating experience are a plus but not required.


### Schedule


* Primarily Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays

* Additional weekday opportunities during peak seasons
