Job description

The LQL Translator serves as the initial contact person for prospective residents and their families,manages prospect database, provides administrative support for two Lancaster city 55+ communities. This role also serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing residents, assisting themwith orientation, coordinating work orders, and providing general administrative support to ensuresmoothy daily operations. Provides a positive first impression of Landis Quality Living Communities.

Facilitates clear communication between Spanish-speaking residents and staff by providing accuratetranslation and interpretation to support daily operations and enhance resident experience.
Utilizes a pleasant, clear and positive voice and disposition in creating an atmosphere of warmth,efficiency and confidence to all persons in the community, even under pressure.
Performs tasks and projects in support of Director of LQL Communities, Care Navigator and other LQLteam members as needed.
Demonstrates dependability, competence, accuracy and is observant.
Adheres to compliance policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and resident and clientrights.
Complies with regulatory agency standards and applicable policies and procedures.
Complies with safety and infection control protocols in all aspects of the job.
Demonstrates understanding of the Code of Conduct and abides by its guidelines in all aspects ofthe job.
Attends in-services and team meetings as required for role.

High school diploma/GED or demonstrated proficiency in reading and writing skills required.
Prior documented experience translating Spanish-English and English Spanish required.
Professional translation and/or interpretation credential for Spanish-English and English-Spanish (e.g.ATA certification for translation or a recognized medical/court interpreter certification) or ability toobtain within six months of hire preferred.
Proficient in use of phones and computers.
Good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills (in both English and Spanish) required.
Maintains current valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Demonstrates a pleasant personality with flexibility and adaptability for frequent interruptions.
