Human Resources Intern: Employee Engagement Analytics & Insights

Location(s):

Our internships are remote; however, we are targeting students in the West Michigan area for this particular opportunity as candidates may be asked to join periodic in person meetings over the course of the summer.

Role Type: Contracted positioned

Schedule: 10 Weeks, 40 Hours Weekly

Summary:

The Employee Engagement Analytics & Insights Intern will support the Human Resources and Employee Engagement teams by analyzing engagement data and helping translate insights into meaningful actions. This role focuses on reviewing survey results, participation metrics, and feedback trends to identify what's working and where improvements are needed. The intern will help prepare clear, executiveready summaries and recommendations that inform engagement strategies and programs.

This internship is open to current college students and recent college graduates and is ideal for candidates interested in analytics, analytical storytelling, employee experience, organizational psychology, or HR strategy.

The role requires strong self-motivation, collaboration, and time-management skills in a virtual environment.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze engagement surveys, feedback, and participation data
  • Identify trends and themes and summarize key insights
  • Support dashboards, reports, and insight briefs

Education Requirements:

  • Pursuing or recently obtained Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Analytics, Behavioral Insights, or related field
  • Demonstrated academic success (minimum 3.0 GPA)
  • Minimum academic standing of Sophomore
  • Active enrollment in accredited university

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills; Excel/Sheets experience
  • Comfort in remote collaboration and zoom meeting environments
  • Ability to attend in-person meetings
  • Internet Access: Candidates must have a stable wired Internet connection with a minimum download of 50 Mbps (megabits per second) for best performance. Wireless connectivity is also supported.
  • Hardware: Osaic uses a program (VDI, Virtual Desktop Interface) which is a secure access portal to all required tools, software, and sites to conduct required work tasks. It provides software needed as well through the interface. Candidates must provide a personal computer, laptops preferable but not required, that has the most up-to-date Operating System and Drivers. Windows 11 or higher, Mac OS 14 (Sonoma) or higher. Hardware requirements are at least 4 CPUs, 8 Gb of RAM, 128 GB of storage with at least 2 GB of free space.

  • Basic familiarity with AI tools and an interest in using them responsibly to support analysis and workflow efficiency
