Job description

Seasonal Housing Front Desk Attendant

Join our team! We've started our search for candidates who want to experience an adventure of a lifetime as a Seasonal Housing Front Desk Attendant at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari. The discoveries you make on our award-winning team as you journey through FUN is what leads our Guests to embark on their own adventure full of memories, season after season.

Seasonal Housing Team Members contribute to the daily operations of the Compass Commons Employee Housing Building. Compass Commons houses our BridgeUSA Team Members, college interns, and seasonal team members who live 51+ miles from our park.

The Front Desk Attendant works closely with, and reports directly to, the Housing Manager. The Front Desk Attendant ensures the safety and comfort of residents by monitoring the front desk, assisting residents with any issues, and helping with the general operations of the housing facility. The Front Desk Attendant will also identify and report all maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, and resident disputes to the Resident Assistant or Housing Manager as needed.

This position is specifically for the 3rd Shift (11:00 - 7:30 AM) or 2nd Shift (3:00-11:30PM) and an hourly shift differential is added to the base rate during the qualifying hours.

How You'll Be Making a Difference

Perform all administrative tasks as defined by the Housing Manager. Administrative tasks may include posting fliers in the building, completing weekly reports, and completing paperwork.

  • Understand, explain, support, and enforce all Employee Housing policies and procedures.
  • Assist residents and participate in/lead resident events.
  • Maintain a standard of personal conduct. The Front Desk Attendant is expected to set an example both in knowing and abiding by all applicable laws and Company policies.
  • Ability to direct residents and follow procedures as outlined in the SOPs during emergency situations
  • Serve as a positive representative of the Housing Department.
  • Know, understand, and follow all policies set forth in the Employee Housing Handbook, as well as all applicable Federal and State laws.
  • Inform the Housing Assistant Manager/Housing Manager of any current or potential problem involving a Resident and/or affecting the individual, staff, or other residents.
  • Always demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Ability to appreciate cultural, religious, political, and social differences.
  • Ability to hold the highest standards in confidentiality.
  • Take initiative and maintain the company's reputation and dedication to safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity.
  • Work collaboratively in a team setting as well as work independently.
  • Utilize problem solving skills, including working in a fast-paced, service-focused culture.
  • Demonstrate strong time management, planning, and organizational skills to optimize productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Some experience working the front desk at a hotel or residential facility preferred, but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years old or older
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
