TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in our Product Management department. We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy intern to join our team and help us automate workflows, streamline operations, and develop process maps with comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning.
Internship Duration: Onsite in Farmington, CT from January 2027 - August 2027 At least 24 hours weekly
Principle Roles & Responsibilities
  • Microsoft Power Automate Development: Design, develop, and deploy automation workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand business needs and translate them into automated processes.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing automation solutions.
  • SAP Build Apps and Process Mapping: Assist in the creation of SAP Build Apps automations to support business operations.
  • Develop detailed process maps for SAP-related workflows, ensuring clarity and efficiency in design.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to refine and enhance process maps and automations.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Development: Help document and create SOPs for various business processes, ensuring they align with best practices. Collaborate with process owners to ensure SOPs are accurate, comprehensive, and user-friendly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a collaborative and cross-functional team, supporting a variety of process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for process automation and improvement.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in automation, Power Automate, and SAP Build Apps.
  • Engage in hands-on learning opportunities and apply new knowledge to real-world business challenges.

Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Power Automate, SAP Build Apps, or similar automation tools (training will be provided).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Interest in manufacturing, especially in the field of 2D laser cutting machine tools, is a plus.
