Description
The Office of Admission is a vital contributor to Samford University's enrollment success through the recruitment of prospective students and commitment to providing personalized assistance throughout the college application and admission process. The Undergraduate Recruitment Marketing Coordinator aids in this process by relaying Samford University's values and mission via print and digital platforms for the Office of Admission.
Job Duties
  • Create and update undergraduate admission marketing materials (print and digital). Work with third-party design vendors on creation of premier pieces and digital assets.
  • Aid in strategy, creation and execution of Office of Admission digital marketing campaigns.
  • Compose and edit copy for recruitment communications.
  • Manage and track email campaigns via shared calendar. Create campaign emails in Admission CRM (Technolutions Slate).
  • Manage Office of Admission social media accounts.
  • Oversee updates and collaborate with Samford web services team to maintain Office of Admission webpages.
  • Work with third-party vendors to design and produce Office of Admission swag.
  • Coordinate photoshoots with third-party photographers and videographers, Samford students and alumni for recruitment pieces and videos.
  • Manage Office of Admission relationship with Samford print shop.
  • Aid in selection and supervise Freshman Bloggers team.
  • Oversee recruitment marketing student interns concerning social media and design initiatives. Set weekly, monthly and annual goals and objectives.
  • Manage Office of Admission internal office marketing needs.
  • Advise Office of Admission staff on how to incorporate recruitment marketing materials into effective recruitment efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree. Priority given to applicants with previous admissions, marketing or graphic design experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Must be able to balance multiple projects at one time.
  • Understands the value of a liberal arts education within the context of a Christian University and can relay importance via copy and design in print and digital forms.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with prospective students and parents, all levels of university employees, and the general public.
  • Must be able to work independently and/or in a team.
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with Technolutions Slate.
  • Experience with managing corporate social media accounts.
  • Knowledge of the undergraduate admission process and timeline.
  • Proficient in AP style.
  • Experience with HTML and CSS.
