Job description

We are a Bay Area company specializing in high-end Italian cabinetry and whole-home interior design. Our 13,000 sq. ft. showroom showcases premium Italian kitchen, cabinetry, and living solutions.

We are looking for a motivated and talented Interior Design Intern to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career designer who wants to gain hands-on experience in interior design, client communication, design sales, and project execution.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with whole-home residential interior design projects
  • Develop kitchen, cabinetry, and interior design concepts
  • Assist with space planning, floor plans, elevations, and 3D presentations
  • Assist with material, finish, furniture, and fixture selections
  • Welcome and communicate with clients in our showroom
  • Understand clients' needs, preferences, lifestyle, and budget
  • Present design concepts and Italian cabinetry solutions
  • Assist with proposals, quotations, and the sales process
  • Communicate with designers, clients, vendors, and project partners
  • Assist with project coordination from design development through installation
  • Review dimensions, drawings, materials, and specifications carefully
  • Help identify and solve design and project execution issues
  • Stay current with new, innovative, and cutting-edge interior design trends

What We Are Looking For

  • A Fast Learner — curious, proactive, and eager to learn new design concepts, products, and technologies
  • Detail-Oriented — careful with dimensions, drawings, materials, and project details
  • Responsible & Accountable — takes ownership of work and follows through on commitments
  • Strong in Project Execution — understands that good design must be practical, buildable, and successfully executed
  • A Strong Communicator — able to communicate clearly with clients and team members
  • A Team Player — collaborative, professional, and open to feedback
  • Passionate About Design — interested in contemporary, innovative, and forward-thinking design
  • Client-Focused — enjoys interacting with people and is willing to develop design sales skills
  • Qualifications
  • Recent graduate or current student in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field
  • Strong design fundamentals and visual sense
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong learning ability and willingness to learn
  • Interest in both design and sales
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Portfolio required

Software: Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Enscape, V-Ray, or other design software is a plus.

You don't need to know everything. We value your ability to learn, your attitude, attention to detail, creativity, and sense of responsibility.

What You Will Gain

You will have the opportunity to experience the complete process of luxury residential design, including:

Client Consultation → Design Concept → Material Selection → Presentation → Sales → Project Coordination → Installation

You will also gain hands-on experience with Italian luxury cabinetry, whole-home design, client relationships, showroom operations, and real-world project execution.

Internship

4-Week Paid Internship

Candidates who demonstrate strong performance, learning ability, communication skills, responsibility, design ability, and overall fit with our team may be considered for a regular paid position after the internship.
