Summary:Shoes and Clothes for Kids (SC4K), established in Cleveland in 1969, is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving school attendance by providing new shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students in need. The organization is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced warehouse professional to join our team to manage the inventory and warehouse operations that support and enhance the SC4K mission. This position is responsible for the timely transfer of products from the warehouse to designated areas in the SC4K Free Store/dock in support of the needs of the program staff. This position is also responsible for ensuring timely and accurate receiving, logging, organizing, and storing of purchased and donated products. This position is responsible for the physical maintenance and safety of the SC4K warehouse, dock, and related equipment. This includes management of warehouse staff, volunteers, interns, and paid temporary help as it relates to the above activities.
This is a full-time, hourly position with weekday hours from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Weeknight and weekend hours are expected as needed. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Warehouse & Inventory Manager Responsibilities

- Safely and effectively coordinates receiving, unloading, counting, organizing, and storing purchased and donated products in a way that maximizes space and efficiency.
- Ensures the timely and accurate transfer and organization of products to designated program areas for distribution in collaboration with program staff.
- Coordinates freight/shipping services in collaboration with SC4K program staff and Community Resource Center (CRC) warehouse personnel.
- Monitors inventory stock levels through an organized system and communicates with program staff and the Executive Director in a timely fashion about available product and acquisition needs to meet program demands.
- Oversees cyclic inventory counting to include a minimum of a yearend count in preparation for an annual audit.
- Coordinates interactions and communications with CRC warehouse personnel regarding SC4K warehouse space, responsibilities, and needs.
- Maintains accurate records and provides timely reporting about all inventory activity using designated software and systems.
- Provides superior customer service when accepting products from donors.
- Maintains high standards of warehouse sanitation, cleanliness, and safety at all times.
- May assist in staffing/leading volunteers (individuals and groups) to receive, sort, store, stock, and pack product for distributions.
- Assists program staff in coordinating logistics for packing, delivery, and/or pickup of product as part of distributions and donations.
- Oversees Warehouse Associate, paid temporary staff, and interns to assist in warehouse and inventory management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- High school diploma/GED required. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred (retail management, supply chain management, business logistics).
- Three to five years’ experience in warehouse operations/inventory management preferred.
- Tow motor and/or reach truck certification required as well as ability to use manual and electric pallet jack. Additional internal equipment certification will take place within 60 days of employment.
- Physically able to lift, move, load, and unload pallets, shelves, and vehicles containing items weighing 50+ pounds.

- Organizational skills to make full use of diverse groups of volunteers, interns, and paid warehouse staff.
- Ability to work in a nonoffice environment with an appropriate level of professionalism.
- A valid driver’s license, comfort driving a cargo van/box truck, and meet SC4K insurance requirements.

Compensation:$40,000 - $50,000
